How your money moves
Every card payment on FeelPretty is processed by Stripe, the payments company trusted by millions of businesses. Here's who does what, what it costs, and why we keep none of it.
From your card to their bank
You pay
Your card details go straight to Stripe over an encrypted connection, on a payment form Stripe runs. They never reach FeelPretty.
Stripe processes it
Stripe checks the payment for fraud and passes it to the beauty pro's own Stripe account, less Stripe's costs. It goes through our account at Stripe on the way, and we keep none of it.
The beauty pro is paid
Stripe pays it into their bank account automatically. Your bank statement shows their business name, so you know who it was.
We take 0%. Stripe's costs, at cost.
FeelPretty takes no commission, no subscription and no booking fee. The only costs are Stripe's own prices for moving money. Beauty pros pay them exactly, with nothing added, and if a card costs more or less (a premium or overseas card, say), they pay the real figure.

Safe, and properly regulated
- Card details never reach usYou type them into a form run by Stripe. We only ever see whether a payment worked, and the last four digits of the card.
- Certified to the highest levelStripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the strictest standard in the payments industry, and audited every year.
- Regulated in the UKStripe Payments UK Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as an electronic money institution (firm reference 900461).
- Extra checks when your bank asksIf your bank wants you to approve a payment in its app, Stripe handles that step, as UK rules on strong customer authentication require.
If you're booking
- Pay by card, or with your phone’s wallet where it is available.
- No booking fee. You pay the deposit your beauty pro sets, and not a penny more.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
- A saved card for repeat bookings is kept by Stripe, never by us.
If you're a beauty pro
- Stripe checks who you are once, when you set up payouts. The law requires it of every business taking card payments.
- Deposits, and anything clients pay in the app, land in your own Stripe account.
- Payouts to your bank happen automatically, and your payments dashboard shows every one.
- No commission, ever. You pay only Stripe's own costs, passed on exactly.
